The Wells College Express men's soccer team rallied not once but twice to earn its first conference win of the season with a 4-2 victory over visiting Cazenovia College.
The Wildcats opened the scoring on a penalty kick during the 22nd minute of the first half. Christian Garavito tied the contest at 1-1 for Wells with a Junger Vargas feed about 10 minutes later. Cazenovia took a 2-1 lead into the break, but the second half was all Wells.
In about a 23-minute span, the Express added three goals during the second half for the win.
First, Mason Beriman tied the game at 2-2 in the 64th minute of the contest with Garavito earning the assist. Then, with a dozen minutes left, Peter DiLauro scored the game winner, while Vargas added an insurance marker with less than three minutes to go to seal the victory.
Kingsley Ehling had a dozen saves in net to earn his second win of the season in back-to-back starts.
The Express look to extend its winning streak to three at Keuka on Sept. 25 with a 6 p.m. start in the team's next match.
