MEN’S SWIMMING SWEEPS DOUBLE DUAL MEET

AURORA, N.Y. – The Wells College men's swimming team made it a clean sweep of their double-dual meet defeating SUNY Cobleskill 102-74 and SUNY Delhi 113-62 on Thursday evening in Cobleskill, N.Y. The Express took first in seven of the 12 events to earn the victories.

The 200 Yard Medley Relay team of Taylor Dunn, Ian Ronan, Thomas Laier, Matt Sleezer took first with a time of 1:545.03 setting the 7th all-time school mark in the event.

Dunn also took first in the 200 Yard Freestyle (2:04.75) edging out Delhi's Michael  Roeland by just .14 seconds. Sleezer improved his all-time school record in the 50 Yard Freestyle, placing first with a time of 23.11, while also placing first in the 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 51.09.

Chris Guard placed first in the 200 Yard I.M. (2:25.90) improving to fourth all-time at Wells. Thomas Laier took first in the 100 Yard Backstroke with a time of 1:10.06, while Ian Ronan placed first in the 100 Yard Breatstroke with a time of 1:11.15. Both Laier's and Ronan's times placed them fourth all-time in their respective events.
