MEN’S SWIMMING SETS PERSONAL MARKS IN LOSS TO MARYWOOD

AURORA, N.Y. – The Marywood University Pacers placed first in 11 events en route to a 131-53 victory over the Wells College men's swimming team on Wednesday evening n Scranton, Pa.

 

Despite the loss, the Expres were able to improve on several school records. Tyler Ficshette finished second in the 1000 Yard Freestyle with a time of 12:55.08 improving his record to fifth all-time at Wells.

 

Thomas Laier placed third in 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 2:06.34 good for 5th all-time at Wells. Chris Guard placed second in the 200 Yard IM and improved to 4th all-time at Wells with a time of 3:31.92. Taylor Dunn earned a second place finish in the 100 Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:00.45 improving to 3rd all-time at Wells.

 

Zachary Dvornicky-Raymond continued the record setting trend in the 100 Yard Breaststroke with a time 1:09.54, improving to 2nd all-time at Wells.

 

Rounding out the highlights for the Express was the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Laier, Dunn, Dvornicky-Raymond, and Matt Sleezer set the 2nd all-time mark at Wells with a time of 1:36.33.

 

The Express return to the pool on Saturday when they take on Pitt-Bradford at 1 p.m. in Aurora.
