Men's Swimming Opens Season At Relay Meet

The Wells College men's swimming team opened its 2017-18 competitive season at the Cortland Pumpkin Relays. The meet consisted of nine relay events for men's teams and nine relay events for women's teams.

The Wells men's team finished fifth overall with 184 team points. The event list featured a mix of four-person relays and three-person relays.

In the 200 medley relay, Wells clocked 2:05.72 and placed fifth with the quartet of Caleb Evans, Ian Ronan, Richard Ford, and Brandon Sprague.

A 3 x 500 freestyle relay trio of Sprague, Evans, and Ford timed in at 19:39.30 and finished fifth.

The 3 x 100 breaststroke relay of Ronan, Arthur Brooks, and Aaron Connolly had a time of 3:48.97.

The 200 medley relay of Ronan, Evans, Shawn Snell, and Ford clocked 1:58.88.

Wells will host SUNY Oswego in a dual meet Saturday, Oct. 28 at the Wells College Swimming Pool.
