Gallaudet Races Past Wells Men's Swimming

The Wells College men's swimming team competed at Gallaudet University on Saturday, Nov. 10 and the host Bison came away with a 115-47 victory in dual-meet scoring.

Wells opened the meet with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay as Bennett Ervin, Aaron Connolly, Richie Ford, and Jose Ramirez clocked 2:21.97, which was nearly four seconds better than the Gallaudet relay.

Ford was second in the 200-yard freestyle and the 100-yard butterfly. Andrew Cao was the top finisher for Wells with a third-place finish in the 50 free. Ramirez was third in the 100-yard backstroke.

Aaron Connolly took second in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:36.35 and second in the 100 breast in 1:13.96. Ervin swam 1:08.91 to take third in the 100 free.

The Express will take a couple of weeks off from competition and return to the Schwartz Athletic Center pool for a home meet Dec. 1 against SUNY Cobleskill and Roberts Wesleyan.
