Connolly Earns NEAC Men's Swimming Honor

Wells College men's swimming sophomore Aaron Connolly was named North Eastern Athletic Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 27. Connolly helped Wells to dual-meet victories over SUNY Delhi and Cazenovia and totaled four individual event wins

On Jan. 23 against SUNY Delhi, Connolly placed first in the 200-yard individual medley (2:39.53) and 100-yard breaststroke (1:15.51) while also swimming on the winning 200-yard medley relay (2:08.25). Over the weekend against Cazenovia, the Wells' sophomore earned a first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle (1:00.28) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:46.75). Connolly also finished second in the 200-yard freestyle (2:16.31) and swam a leg of the winning 200-yard medley relay (2:11.02).

Connolly is a health science major with minors in chemistry and psychology. He is from Assonet, Massachusetts.

Wells will return to action for the North Eastern Athletic Conference championships Feb. 15-17 at Cazenovia College.
