EXPRESS DROP MATCHES TO HILBERT AND D'YOUVILLE

HAMBURG, N.Y. – The Wells College men's volleyball team's early season struggles continued this afternoon as the Express fell to Hilbert College in three straight sets 25-11, 25-17, and 25-12 on Saturday afternoon in Hamburg, N.Y.  With the loss the Express fall to 0-5 on the season while Hilbert improves to 3-10.

Caleb Mannix finished with eight kills, Ryan Huggins added two kills and six digs, and Andrew Jacobs finished with six kills and one dig to pace the Express.

Adam Weaver led Hilbert with 10 kills, Adam Clabo added 14 digs, and teammate Ryan Ratajczak finished with 12 digs to round out the highlights for the Hawks.

"That second set against Hilbert was better volleyball than we've been playing this year, and I'm excited for the guys to take that into this week's training.  While we're undersized and lacking much bench, the guys managed to keep their spirits high, improve every point, and put together some of our best play of the season, " said head coach Richard Gary. "It's not easy having this tough a start to the year, and they know that they're working hard, pushing themselves to become better teammates, and are putting in the effort needed to improve with every outing."

The Express also dropped their second match to D'Youville 25-15, 25-11, 25-19.
