WILDCATS EARN FOUR SET VICTORY OVER EXPRESS

AURORA, N.Y. – The Wells College men's volleyball team fell in four sets (25-20, 20-25, 18-25, 18-25) to the SUNY IT Wildcats on Wednesday evening in Aurora. With the loss the Express fall to 1-14 on the season while the Wildcats improve to 3-26 on the season.

Caleb Mannix (Chittenango, N.Y.) finished with 16 kills on 39 attempts while tallying five digs. Ryan Huggins (Cooperstown, N.Y.) added seven kills while Jessilyn Aki (Kapaa, Hawaii) finished with 12 digs to round out the highlights for Wells.

Tied 20-20 in the first set, the Express rattled off five straight points to earn the 25-20 victory. The Wildcats returned the favor in the second set, rattling off five straight points to earn their very own 25-20 victory. The Express dropped the third 25-18 and would look to bounce back in the fourth.

Down 13-10, the Express called a timeout and then scored three straight points to tie the set at 13-13. The Wildcats pulled ahead 19-16 and would go on to score the six of the final eight points to earn the 3-1 victory.

The Express return to action this weekend when they travel to take on C.C.N.Y. and Kean University at 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. on the campus of Kean in Union,  N.J.
