MAJOR AWARDS: 2012 Rookie of the Year...2013 Team Most Valuable Player...NEAC Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week (03/11/13), 3x NEAC Scholar-Athlete (2013, 2014, 2015)...York College Invitational All-Tournament Team (2013)...Express Award (2015)...CoSIDA Academic All-District (2015)...CoSIDA Academic All-American (2015)...Kathryn S. Maloney Senior Scholar-Athlete Award (2015)...NEAC SAAC Member of the Year (2015).
2015: Played in 99 sets for Wells as a senior, recording 134 kills and committing only 59 attacking errors for a .228 attacking percentage...Combined for 118 total blocks, a team-leading mark...Recorded a season-best 10 kills twice, first against Hilbert on Feb. 7 and again on Feb. 21 against Lancaster Bible...Hammered home two service aces against Hilbert (2/13) and Penn St.-Altoona (2/21)...Racked up five digs against the Nittany Lions on Feb. 21...Tallied 10 blocks against Hilbert on Feb. 13, a season-best mark...Recorded at least one block in all of his matches on the year...Finished his career as the eighth-best active career leader in blocks per set (0.87) and the ninth-best in total blocks (266) among all NCAA Division III men's volleyball players...Concluded the 2015 season ranked fifth in blocks per set (1.19).
2014: Played in 67 sets for the Express, tallying 51 kills alongside 17 service aces...He also contributed with a team-leading 51 total blocks with 13 solo blocks and 38 block assists...Leads all players in team history with 148 total blocks exiting play in 2014...Registered eight total blocks against Brooklyn (2/1) and Lancaster Bible (4/5), tying his own single match record...His .216 hitting percentage in 2014 was the third-highest single season total in program history...His .948 serving percentage (251 serves) is the second-best in team history and the highest by any player with over 50 serve attempts.
2013: Saw action in 85 sets for the Express as a sophomore, tallying a team-leading 65 total blocks for Wells...Posted 87 kills in addition to 10 service aces...Contributed defensively with 37 digs...His 54 block assists led the team while his 11 solo blocks ranked second...Recorded six kills against zero errors against Sage on Jan. 25 and Cazenovia on Feb. 2...Threw up five block assists against D'Youville on Jan. 25...Posted a season-hihg eight kills against Penn St.-Altoona on Mar. 3...Posted at least six kills in four-straight matches from Mar. 2 to Mar. 3...Posted a season-high eight block assists on Mar. 30 against Hilbert.
2012: Made appearances in 62-of-66 sets for the Express as a freshman, leading the team with 36 total blocks to his credit...Hammered home 60 kills while making only 24 errors to lead the team with a .161 hitting percentage...Posted a season-best four service aces against Gallaudet on Mar. 9...Also posted 11 kills that same day against Medgar Evers...Recorded at least one kill in all but one of his games on the year...Recorded at least one block in all but one game on the year.
PRIOR TO WELLS: 2011 graduate of New Hartford HS...Ran track for the Spartans under coaches Tom Wells and Bob Byrd...Earned honors and was the recipient of the Eloise Daly Scholarship.
