Perdicho Collects NEAC Student-Athlete of the Week Honors

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – Freshman Brannon Perdicho (Victor, N.Y.) has been selected as the North Eastern Athletic Conference Men's Volleyball Player of the Week for his performance this past weekend for the Wells College men's volleyball team. Perdicho and the Express posted a 2-2 record, picking up wins against Mount Ida and D'Youville.

The lone member of the Express to earn a selection to the SUNY Poly Invitational All-Tournament Team, Perdicho compiled 37 kills on a .337 hitting percentage for an average of 3.08 kills per set, while adding 27 digs through 12 sets. Perdicho lead the Express to a 3-0 sweep over Mount Ida Friday after tallying 10 kills on 13 errorless attacks to post a .769 hitting percentage, while also adding five digs and a serve ace.

He followed that performance up with a double-double after posting match highs of 17 kills and 13 digs to go along with a solo block in a 3-1 win over D'Youville, helping him come out of the weekend as the early conference leader in both kills and hitting percentage.

Wells will host the Wildcats of SUNY Poly and Penn St.-Behrend in a three-team event at the Farenthold Athletic Wing Saturday, Jan. 31 at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., respectively. Live Video and Live Statistics for all three matches will be available at Wells-Express.com.
