Perdicho Draws NEAC Men's Volleyball Player of the Week

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – Freshman Brannon Perdicho (Victor, N.Y.) of the Wells College men's volleyball team has been selected as the North Eastern Athletic Conference Men's Volleyball Player of the Week after a strong week for the Express. Perdicho and the Express defeated New Jersey City University by a 3-0 margin before falling to Penn St.-Behrend by the same score.

Across both matches, Perdicho hammered home 23 kills with a .415 hitting average and averaged 4.4 points per set across a pair of matches while also achieving a team milestone along the way. He opened the week by setting a new Wells record, tallying a program-best .522 hitting percentage after smashing a match-high 16 kills with just four errors on 23 attempts against New Jersey City.

Perdicho went on to add seven more kills with just two errors in 18 swings against the Lions later in the afternoon, giving him a 3.83 kills per set average for the week, where he now places fifth in the conference in that category (3.03) while also being sixth in points per set (3.5).

As a freshman, Perdicho has already set the single-season team record for kills (230) and also leads all players in team history with 3.03 kills per set. Furthermore, Perdicho also ranks 36th amongst all NCAA Division III men's volleyball players in kills per set and 44th in points per set (3.45).

Wells will make their first-ever North Eastern Athletic Conference postseason appearance this Saturday, Apr. 11 as they face-off against D'Youville at 2 p.m. on the campus of Medaille College. A complete preview of the match can be found here.
