Men's Volleyball Splits Conference Matches At SUNY Poly

The Wells College men's volleyball team came away with one win and one loss in North Eastern Athletic Conference matches on Saturday, Feb. 4 hosted by SUNY Polytechnic Institute. Wells won in three sets against Wilson College and then fell in four sets against Penn State Altoona.

Wells is 2-7 overall and 1-2 in the NEAC. The Express returns to action next weekend at York (NY) College with matches against York and John Jay on Saturday, Feb. 11.

Wells 3, Wilson 0

Set scores were 25-14, 25-18, 25-15 for Wells in a sweep to start the day's action. Wells hit .500 or better in the first and third sets and also won comfortably in the second set. Over the course of the match, Wells had a .400 hitting percentage with 37 kills and just seven errors on 75 attacks.

Brannon Perdicho had 15 kills and no errors on 22 attacks. He also led Wells with eight digs. Caden O'Loughlin and Josh Undari had seven kills each. Scott Litvin had 22 assists and Undari had 11 assists. Litvin, O'Loughlin, and Trysten McLaughlin each served two aces.

Penn State Altoona 3, Wells 1

Altoona won by scores of 25-20, 25-20, 26-28, 25-23.

Brannon Perdicho had 23 kills for the second match of the day to lead the Wells hitters.

Jonathan Haines had three block assists, while Ryan Turner, Caden O'Loughlin, and Josh Undari were each part of two assisted blocks. Undari led Wells with nine digs and added seven assists. O'Loughlin had 15 kills. Scott Litvin had 23 assists. Trysten McLaughlin had three service aces.
