Two Wins For Men's Volleyball In The Big Apple

The Wells College men's volleyball team won two matches in straight sets on Saturday, Feb. 11 in New York City. Wells defeated host York (NY) College in the opening match of the day, and then swept through John Jay College in the second match of the day. Wells is 4-7 on the season and returns to North Eastern Athletic Conference play this week with a Wednesday match at SUNY Polytechnic Institute.

Set scores were 25-13, 25-13, 25-15. Wells hit a staggering .507 percentage in the win, including a .650 percentage in the first set. Over the course of the match, Wells had 42 kills and just eight errors in 67 attempts. Caden O'Loughlin led Wells with 13 kills. Josh Undari had nine kills and Jonathan Haines had eight.

Scott Litvin led Wells with 25 assists and Undari had 13 assists. Ryan Turner and Brannon Perdicho each served three aces.

WELLS 3, JOHN JAY 0

Wells won by scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-19. The Express hit .284 in the match that included a fast start with a .320 percentage in the first set and .379 in the second set.

Brannon Perdicho led Wells with 15 kills on 24 attacks for a .500 percentage. Ryan Turner had eight kills and a .467 percentage. Josh Undari had 17 assists and Scott Litvin had 12 assists. Turner had four assisted blocks and three service aces. Undari also served three aces.

Mike Hartman led Wells with nine digs and Perdicho had eight digs.
