Wells Men's Volleyball Defeats D'Youville College

The Wells College men's volleyball team completed a perfect weekend of North Eastern Athletic Conference matches with a four-set victory over D'Youville College on Sunday afternoon, March 5 at Keuka College. D'Youville won the first set 25-22, but Wells won the next three sets by scores of 25-14, 25-14, 25-16.

The Express swept all three NEAC matches on the weekend and improved its overall record to 10-9 on the year, and its conference record to 6-2. Wells stands tied for second in the NEAC after the completion of eight conference matches.

After dropping the opening set, Wells cruised through the next three sets on the way to the win. Wells hit .450 in the second set with 12 kills and just three hitting errors. The Express had 11 kills in the second set and hit .320.

Brannon Perdicho led Wells with 13 kills and a .458 hitting percentage in the match. Perdicho had just two errors, and also had a service ace and seven digs. Caden O'Loughlin had 10 kills and just three errors for a .241 hitting percentage. He added six digs and three block assists.

Josh Undari had 16 assists and Scott Litvin had 15 asssists. Undari, Ryan Turner, and Trysten McLaughlin each served two aces each. Jonathan Haines had two solo blocks and five block assists. Mike Hartman led Wells with 11 digs.

Wells will continue conference play after a weekend off. The next action for the Express will take place March 18 and 19 against Penn State Altoona, Wilson College, and Lancaster Bible College in matches hosted by Penn State Altoona at Mt. Aloysius College.
