Hot Streak Continues For Wells Men's Volleyball

The Wells College men's volleyball team went on the road and defeated North Eastern Athletic Conference opponent Keuka College in four sets on Wednesday, March 22. Set scores were 25-19, 25-21, 23-25, 25-19. Wells improved to 13-10 overall and 9-3 in the NEAC. Keuka is 7-11 overall and 3-9 in the conference.

It was the second time this season that Wells defeated Keuka, and Wells has won eight of its last nine matches overall.

Wells won the opening set and had a .333 hitting percentage with 11 kills and three errors. In the second set, Wells hit .385 with 13 kills and three errors. Keuka came back to win the third set 25-23. Wells built a 19-12 lead in the fourth set on a kill from Jonathan Haines and went on to win the set 25-16. Brannon Perdicho served an ace for the match-winning point.

Brannon Perdicho led Wells with 16 kills, and Josh Undari and Caden O'Loughlin had nine kills each. Wells hit .276 as a team over the match. Undari led Wells with 24 assists and Scott Litvin had 21 assists. Undari had three service aces and Perdicho had two. Litvin led Wells with 10 digs. Jonathan Haines had two solo blocks and two block assists.

Wells will return to action Saturday, March 25 with non-conference matches hosted by Wilkes University. Wells faces City College of New York at 2 p.m. and host Wilkes at 4 p.m. The next home match for the Express is Tuesday, March 28 against SUNY Polytechnic Institute at 7 p.m.
