Men's Volleyball Victorious Over Cairn

The Wells College men's volleyball team won its opening match at the Elmira College Invitational in four sets on Friday, Jan. 26. Wells defeated Cairn 25-20, 25-20, 19-25, 25-14. The Express is 3-2 on the season and will play two matches Saturday at the Elmira event. Wells will take on Thiel at 11 a.m. and then go up against Elmira at 3 p.m.

In Friday night's match, sophomore Caden O'Loughlin led the Express with 18 kills. It was the fourth time in five matches this season that O'Loughlin has reached double-digits in kills.  He added 10 digs, five service aces, and two solo blocks.

Brannon Perdicho had nine kills for the Express and stands just two kills shy of 1,000 for his career.

Wells won the opening two sets and closed the match in the fourth set with a decisive 25-14 victory.

Josh Undari had 21 assists and Scott Litvin had 18 assists. The Express served 11 aces, including O'Loughlin's five and two from Mike Hartman.

Undari and Kevin Batmunkh had seven digs each.
