Milestone For Perdicho Of Men's Volleyball

The Wells College men's volleyball team had one win and one loss on Saturday, Jan. 27 at the Elmira College Invitational. Wells started the day with a four-set win over Thiel and later in the afternoon fell in a five-set match against host Elmira. In the match against Thiel, senior Brannon Perdicho reached the 1,000 kills milestone, the first player in program history to reach that mark.

The Express is 4-3 on the season. Wells returns to action Saturday, Feb. 3 at Sage Colleges with matches against Sage and Emmanuel.

Wells 3, Thiel 1

Wells defeated Thiel 25-17, 25-21, 18-25, 25-18. Brannon Perdicho led the Express with 16 kills and Caden O'Loughlin  had 13 kills with a .324 hitting percentage. Robert Patzer added nine kills. Josh Undari had 29 assists and Scott Litvin had 20 assists. O'Loughlin served three aces.

Perdicho had 10 digs, and O'Loughlin and Mike Hartman had eight digs each. Jonathan Haines had four block assists and Patzer had three block assists.

Elmira 3, Wells 2

Elmira won by scores of 25-22, 25-18, 26-28, 23-25, 15-13. After dropping the first two sets, Wells battled back to win the third and fourth sets. Wells hit .273 as a team.

Three players reached double-figures in kills as Brannon Perdicho has 19, Caden O'Loughlin had 14 and Robert Patzer had 10. Josh Undari had 37 assists. Perdicho had five solo blocks and one block assist.

Patzer served three aces and Perdicho had two aces. O'Loughlin and Undari had nine digs each.
