Saturday Split For Men's Volleyball At Alvernia

The Wells College men's volleyball team returned to the court with a loss to Wentworth and a victory over host institution Alvernia University in matches played Saturday, March 10 at Alvernia's Jack McCloskey Court. Wentworth defeated Wells in three sets, and Wells defeated Alvernia 3-1.

The Express stands at 13-6 on the season. These were just the second and third matches for the team in the last 14 days due to recent weather cancellations.

Wells is 1-0 in North Eastern Athletic Conference matchups this season and returns to conference play with a Saturday, March 17 match at Medaille and a Sunday, March 18 match at Keuka.

Wentworth 3, Wells 0

Set scores were 25-21, 25-15, 30-28 in favor of Wentworth, which has been nationally-ranked for most of the season and received votes in the latest AVCA Division III Men's Poll. Wells defeated Wentworth on the opening weekend of the season at SUNY Poly.

Wells hit .180 in the match. Brannon Perdicho had 15 kills and Caden O'Loughlin had 10 kills. Perdicho added five digs, one service ace, two solo blocks and one block assist. Josh Undari had 31 assists.

Wells 3, Alvernia 1

The Express closed the afternoon matches with a victory over Alvernia. Set scores were 21-25, 25-15, 25-20, 25-20.

Wells hit .208 in the match with 46 kills. Caden O'Loughlin led Wells with 11 kills and he hit .344. Ryan Turner had 10 kills and a .529 hitting percentage. Brannon Perdicho had nine kills and Robert Patzer had eight kills.

Josh Undari had 30 assists. Patzer had one solo block and three block assists. O'Loughlin served two aces. Perdicho led Wells with 13 digs. Scott Litvin and Undari each had 12 digs.
