Three-Set Win For Men's Volleyball At Keuka

The Wells College men's volleyball team moved over .500 in the North Eastern Athletic Conference with a three-set victory at Keuka College on Thursday, Feb. 14. Wells won by set scores of 25-14, 25-13, 25-15. Wells is 9-5 overall and 2-1 in the NEAC. Keuka is 3-4 overall and 1-1 in the conference.

Wells hit .326 in the match and had 12 kills in each of the three sets with just seven total hitting errors on the night.

In the opening set, Wells raced out to a 14-4 advantage and went on to a 25-14 victory. Four Wells kills and a service error from the Wolves accounted for the last five points for the Express.

The second set saw Wells build a 15-6 lead. Wells served six aces in the set including two each from Caden O'Loughlin and Joe Zimmerman.

Wells closed out the match with a third-set win. It was tied 10-10 before Wells won nine of the next 11 points.

Robert Patzer led Wells with 15 kills and Caden O'Loughlin had eight. Josh Undari had 29 assists.

Wells served aggressively with 11 aces and eight service errors. O'Loughlin served four aces and Patzer had three service aces.

Defensively, O'Loughlin had 10 digs. Cooper Colesante had two solo blocks and one block assist.

Wells will be back in action Saturday, Feb. 23 with a pair of matches hosted by Rivier University in New Hampshire. Prior to taking on Rivier, Wells will face Springfield, ranked first in the nation in the latest AVCA Division III men's coaches poll.
