Batmunkh Earns NEAC Men’s Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week Honors

LATHAM, N.Y. – Wells College's Kevin Batmunkh joins Lancaster Bible College's Nate Miller in receiving North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Men's Volleyball Players of the Week honors, the NEAC announced today.

Batmunkh picks up Defensive Player of the Week after totaling 29 digs during a 3-1 weekend for the Express. The senior middle hitter/libero averaged 2.23 digs per set for the week and helped Wells to sweeps against Penn State-Altoona on Friday and SUNY Potsdam and Keuka on Saturday.

The Express are off this week after amassing a 16-3 start and obtaining a No. 6 national ranking in the American Volleyball Coaches Association's (AVCA) last poll. The Wells College men's volleyball team has won its last eight matches against D-III opponents with seven of those ending in 3-0 sweeps. Collectively, the Express has taken 24 of the last 25 sets against Division III opponents.
