Men's Volleyball Drops Road Contest To Wilkes

Wells College men's volley was in action for the second day in a row playing back-to-back road games, this evening at Wilkes University.

Wells College hung around in the first set battling to a 9-11 deficit. Wilkes would then go on a 5-point run that was stopped by a service error allowing the Express a chance to get back into this one. After a service error of our own, Wilkes took control of the first set winning 25-14. The Express struggled in the second set with only 4 kills coming from Confidence Burrowes and Billy McCrae in a 25-12 loss. Wells College showed some energy in the third set battling Wilkes to an 11-all score halfway through the set. Wells then went on a 6-0 run with the serves coming from Billy McCrae and the kills from Connor Garvey. The lead would hold for the rest of the set and Wells forced a fourth set on the road. Wilkes was in full command of the fourth set only allowing the Express to post 11 points. Wilkes grabbed the victory, 3-1.

Men's volleyball will travel to Penn State Behrend on Wednesday.
