WELLS MEN’S CROSS COUNTRY PLACES 6TH AT NEAC CHAMPIONSHIP

COBLESKILL, N.Y. – The Wells College men's cross country team placed sixth at the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championship Saturday at SUNY Cobleskill in Cobleskill, N.Y. Junior Brayden Shumski (Everett, Wash.) led the Express, earning NEAC First Team All-Conference accolades placing seventh overall out of 86 runners with a time of 28:27.40.

SUNY Cobleskill took the team championship with 24 points. SUNY IT placed second with 44 points and Morrisville State placed third with 81 points. Cobleskill's Connor Cashing earned NEAC Runner of the Year, besting the field of 86 runners with a time of 28:27.40.

Overall the Express had six runners compete in the championship. Tony Petri (East Middlebury, Vt.) placed 32nd with a time of 33:27.94. Bryant Sanders (Stroudsburg, Pa.) crossed the finish line in 33:43.16, Evando Nascimento (Geneva, Switzerland) placed 50th with a time of 34:42.25, Tim Lambert (Clay, N.Y.) placed 56th with a time of 35:39:65, and Michael Lynch (New Hartford, N.Y.) placed 80th with a time of 40:35.86.
