Hernon Earns Third Team All-Conference At NEAC Championships

MARCY, N.Y. – Junior Paul Hernon (New Hartford, N.Y.) placed 20th amongst the field of 73 runners as the Wells College men's cross country team placed 10th at the North Eastern Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Championships Saturday afternoon on the campus of SUNY Institute of Technology.

For his efforts in the NEAC Championship, Hernon collected NEAC Third Team All-Conference for placing within the top-21 against the field. He becomes only the second men's cross country runner in team history (behind Brayden Shumski '13) to collect All-Conference honors from the conference.

Hernon completed the 8K course in 30:45, running at a 6:12/mile pace to lead all Express participants. Freshman Ky'aire Reed (Trenton, N.J.) and junior Andrew Judson (Court Gambrillis, Md.) ran at a 7:17/mile pace, placing 57th and 58th, respectively, with times of 36:09 and 36:10. Freshman Andrew Zellers (Seneca Falls, N.Y.) completed the course in 39:55 while sophomore Raymond Soriano (Laredo, Texas) wrapped up the race with a time of 48:59.
