Men's Cross Country Competes At Oswego State Invitational

OSWEGO, N.Y. – Junior Stephen Armstrong (Horseheads, N.Y.) led all members of the Wells College men's cross country team as they placed 14th amongst a highly-competitive field at the 7.75K Oswego State Cross Country Invitational on Saturday. The University of Rochester placed first with 40 points, followed by SUNY Cortland (41) and the Rochester Institute of Technology (82).

Armstrong's time of 30:07.6 placed him 115th amongst the field of 162 individuals. Senior Paul Hernon (New Hartford, N.Y.) followed only nine places behind Armstrong with a time of 30:43.1. Sophomore Ky'aire Reed (Trenton, N.J.) and senior Andrew Judson (Court Gambrillis, Md.) placed 151st and 158th, respectively, with times of 34:17.0 and 36:47.6.

Sophomore Andrew Zellers (Seneca Falls, N.Y.) was the 160th runner to cross the line, posting a time of 37:52.3 while junior Zachary Tripsas (Elka Park, N.Y.) rounded out the field of Wells runners with a time of 38:45.2.

The Express return to action Saturday, Sept. 13 as they participate at the 8K Hobart Invitational beginning at high noon.
