Men's XC Competes At NCAA Division III Atlantic Regionals

ROCHESTER, N.Y. The Wells College men's cross country team sent three individual runners to the NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional Cross Country Championship on Saturday at Genesee Valley Park. With three individual male entrants, the Express set a program record for participation at the 8K meet, hosted by the University of Rochester.

Junior captain Stephen Armstrong (Horseheads, N.Y.), making his second appearance at the NCAA Regionals, turned in a time of 30:15.8 to place 243rd amongst the field of 285 runners. Senior Paul Hernon (New Hartford, N.Y.) concludes his cross country career with a 249th place time of 30:23.1 while classmate Andrew Judson (Court Gambrillis, Md.) rounded out the Wells runners by completing the course in 33:48.1.

St. Lawrence University claimed first place in both the men's and women's races while SUNY Geneseo and SUNY Cortland finished second and third in the men's race, respectively. Matt Giannino from the Rochester Institute of Technology placed first amongst the field, posting a time of 25:08.7.
