Men's Cross Country Competes At NCAA Regionals

MOUNT MORRIS, N.Y. – Senior Stephen Armstrong (Erin, N.Y.) capped off a three-year career with the Wells College men's cross country team on Saturday, leading his team at the 2015 NCAA Division III Atlantic Regional Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Letchworth State Park. For the first time in team history, the Express qualified with a team score at the regionals.

Armstrong posted a time of 30:05.3, placing 218th in the field. Freshman Bradlee Sherman (Cortland, N.Y.) turned in a time of 31:12.3, crossing the line in 248th place. Classmate Antonio D'Arpino (Auburn, N.Y.) was the third finisher from Wells, posting a time of 31:55.70. Freshmen John Tolley (Pittsford, N.Y.) and Ross Cobb (South Burlington, Vt.) crossed the line with times of 34:21.2 and 34:24, respectively. Junior Ky'aire Reed (Trenton, N.J.) rounded out the Wells entrants with a time of 35:48.9.

Sherman and Cobb each posted a season-best time on the 8K course.
