Men's Cross Country Begins Season At Le Moyne

The Wells College men's cross country team placed fifth at the Le Moyne College Short Course Invitational to begin its 2016 season. The event took place Saturday, Sept. 3 at Le Moyne College in Syracuse.

Lazaro Vasquez was the top finisher for Wells in 11th place overall among a field of 35 runners. Vasquez timed in as 22 minutes, 27 seconds.

Adam Sleezer was 26th overall in 25:00, closely followed by teammates Tanner Mingen in 28th (25:31) and Antonio D'Arpino in 29th (25:39). Ross Cobb was the fifth scoring runner for Wells in 32nd place with a time of 28:09.

John Tolley (28:23) and Ky'aire Reed (28:47) also competed for Wells.

The Express will be back in action Saturday, Sept. 10 at the Bruce Bridgeman Invitational hosted by Finger Lakes Community College in Canandaigua.
