Men's Cross Country Takes Sixth At Morrisville

The Wells College men's cross country team ran in the Morrisville State Mustang Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 9. The Express placed sixth in a field of 12 teams and Adam M. Sleezer earned a top-10 finish.

Overcast and cool conditions greeted the field of 117 runners over an eight-kilometer course. It is the same course that will host the North Eastern Athletic Conference Championships at the end of the season.

Sleezer placed ninth overall with a time of 29 minutes, 49 seconds. Austin Heil also earned a top-30 finish with a time of 31:35.

Tony D'Arpino recorded 39 team points with a 49th-place finish. Eli Stone and Tanner Mingen rounded out the scoring lineup and finished at 33 minutes and 33:01.

Bradlee Sherman (36:29) and John Tolley (36:56) were the other entrants from the Express.

Wells is back in action at the Oswego State Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 16.
