KEUKA DEFENSE HOLDS BACK EXPRESS

(Aurora, N.Y.)─ The Keuka College Storm held Wells College to just 14 points in the first half en route to their seventh win of the season, a 55-29 decision over the Express in North Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball action Tuesday evening in Keuka Park. The loss drops the Express to 1-8 (1-6 NEAC), while Keuka improves to 7-1 (6-1 NEAC).

NEAC Player of the Week Ashley Roser paced the Express with her seventh double-double of the season (15 pts/11 rebs). Kristen Ryan added nine points and nine rebounds to round out the scoring for the Express.

Ten different players found the scoring column for the Storm led by Jessica Brandrowski with nine points, while Mariah Mouzon led the team in rebounds with a game high 12 to go along with six points.

The Express held an early 4-0 advantage but the lead would short lived as the Storm would rattled off 13 straight points to take a lead they would never relinquish. Wells had a difficult time from the floor shooting just 21.7 percent from the field.  The Storm did not fare much better, shooting 31.9 percent from the floor.

Wells enters their mid-season break and will not return to action until January 8 when they take on Wilson College at 6 p.m. in Aurora.
