ROSER POURS IN 27 POINTS IN LOSS TO COBLESKILL

(Cobleskill, N.Y.)─ The SUNY Cobleskill women's basketball team had eight different players score en route to a 64-43 victory over the Wells College Express in North Eastern Athletic Conference action Tuesday evening in Cobleskill, N.Y. The loss drops the Express to 2-13 (2-11 NEAC), while the Fighting Tigers improve to 8-5 (7-3 NEAC).
 
Ashley Roser led the Express with a game high 27 points and 11 rebounds, while Ashley Mercure chipped in with seven points and two assists.
 
Alexis Hauser paced the Fighting Tigers with 14 points and seven rebounds. Brittany Britt chipped in with 12 points, while Katora Brown dominated the boards with 14 rebounds in addition to seven points.
 
Tied mid-way through the first half, the Fighting Tigers outscored the Express 16-7 over the final ten minutes to take a 26-17 halftime lead. The Express were never closer than the nine-point halftime deficit as the Fighting Tigers cruised to victory.
 
The Express return back home on Thursday to take on non-conference opponent Alfred University at 5 p.m. in Aurora.
