ST. ELIZABETH SOARS PAST EXPRESS

(Aurora, N.Y.)─ The College of St. Elizabeth opened with a 12-0 run and never looked back en route to a 72-46 victory over the Wells College Express in North Eastern Athletic Conference women's basketball action Sunday afternoon in Aurora. The loss drops the Express to 2-9 (2-7 NEAC) while the Screaming Eagles improve to 3-10 (2-9 NEAC).

Ashley Roser led the Express, notching a double-double, with a game high 26 points, including 9 of 9 from the charity stripe to go along with 10 rebounds. Sabrina Jarmonlinski led the Screaming Eagles with a double-double of her own, finishing with 25 points and 11 rebounds.

The Screaming Eagles ran the full court press to perfection forcing 38 Express turnovers leading to 37 points while their high tempo offense created 22 fast break points. St. Elizabeth led by 22 at the half (42-20) and although the Express would play the second half much closer (30-26), the first half deficit would prove to be too much to overcome as the Screaming Eagles cruised to the conference victory.

The Express hit the hardwood next on Jan. 12 at 5 p.m. against NEAC opponent SUNY IT in Utica, N.Y.
