ROSER NAMED CO-NEAC STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

AURORA, N.Y. - Ashley Roser (Taberg, N.Y.) has been named Co-NEAC Student-Athlete of the Week along with Sabrina Jarmolinski of The College of St. Elizabeth. Roser was sensational across the board, posting two-game averages of 27 points, 17 rebounds, 2 assists, 5 steals and 2.5 blocks per game during a 1-1 week for the Wells Express.  The sophomore forward also had a hot shooting hand, shooting 50 percent (19-for-38) from the field, while also hitting 13 out of 14 free throw attempts and nailing three of her four attempts from beyond the arc.  Roser led the Express to a 66-56 win over Cazenovia Wednesday with game highs of 26 points, 23 rebounds and four steals and followed that up with team highs of 28 points, 11 rebounds, six steals and three blocks in a 63-55 loss to the College of Saint Elizabeth Saturday.  Roser currently leads the NEAC in rebounds at 15.6 per game while being second in points at 19.4 per contest.

The Express return to action tomorrow night when they take on Morrisville State College at 7 p.m. in Aurora. 

Jarmolinski led the College of Saint Elizabeth Screaming Eagles to three conference victories, averaging 29.3 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 steals per game while shooting 51 percent (38-for-74) from the field and 55 percent (6-for-11) from the 3-point line.  The senior forward netted a game-high 23 points to go along with 11 rebounds, five assists and four steals in a 75-55 victory over Penn State Abington Wednesday, while following that up with a career-high 33 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals in a 63-55 win over Wells College Saturday.  She closed the week with another double-double, posting game highs of 32 points and 14 rebounds in a 64-53 victory over Cazenovia College yesterday.  Jarmolinski currently leads the NEAC in scoring at 21.6 points per game and is second in rebounds at 11.6 boards per contest.
