Roser Draws 12th Career NEAC Student-Athlete of the Week Award

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – Senior Ashley Roser (Taberg, N.Y.) of the Wells College women's basketball team collected her 12th career North Eastern Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for her performance this past weekend for the Express. Roser and her team racked up a 1-1 record across the previous two games, collecting a 55-45 victory over the Raptors of Bard College on Saturday.

Roser scored 25 points in both games to start the season, collecting a double-double in each game. Versus the College at Brockport on Friday, Roser racked up 13 rebounds and also chipped in with three assists, two steals and two blocks. The next day against Bard, Roser secured 11 rebounds, six steals, three blocks and 25 points in only 27 minutes of action.

Across all NCAA Division III women's basketball players, Roser currently holds the active career lead for double-doubles with 63 to her credit in only 73 career games played. Dating back to last season, Roser has recorded a double-double in 16-straight contests dating back to Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013 against the Storm of Keuka College.

Roser, the reigning NEAC Player of the Year, also secured her 1,500th career point in an Express uniform during the win against Bard. Across her career in Aurora, Roser has scored 1,521 points (20.8 ppg) and has averaged 14.9 rebounds per game and passed the 1,000 career rebound mark during the 2012-13 season.

The Express return to action this Tuesday, Nov. 19 as they face-off against the Saxons of Alfred University in a 5:00 p.m. road contest.
