Roser Secures 13th Career NEAC Student-Athlete of the Week Award

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – Senior Ashley Roser (Taberg, N.Y.) of the Wells College women's basketball team earned her 13th career North Eastern Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week award, the conference office announced Monday afternoon. Roser and the Express posted a 75-71 victory over the Wildcats of Cazenovia College on Monday, opening up a 1-0 record in league play.

Versus the Wildcats, Roser pulled down 21 rebounds and also chipped in a team-leading 19 points en route to the team's fourth-straight victory over Cazenovia. Dating back to Jan. 16, 2013 against Keuka, Roser has racked up 19 straight double-doubles and currently leads the NEAC in points per game (22.5) while ranking second in rebounds per game (13.8).

Entering the previous week, Roser is currently the active NCAA Division III leader in career point scoring (1,565), rebounding (1,111) and field goals made (544). She also trails the current Division III leader, Caty Eeten of Eureka College, in free throws made (459) by four. Across all NCAA Division III women's basketball players, Roser currently holds the active career lead for double-doubles with 66 to her credit in only 76 career games played for Wells.

Wells returns to action Monday, Dec. 2, hosting the Hawks of Hilbert College in a 7:00 p.m. contest within the Frances Tarlton Farenthold Athletic Wing in Aurora, N.Y.
