The Wells College women's basketball fell to visiting Lancaster Bible College by a 62-46 score on Saturday, Feb. 3 at the Schwartz Athletic Center. Wells held a second-quarter lead before the Chargers seized control in the second half.
Lancaster Bible led 15-12 after the first quarter. Wells rallied in the second quarter and went ahead 27-23 on a baseline jumper by Jordan Jacobs with 2:05 left before halftime. The Chargers went on a 7-0 run and led 30-27 at the half.
Kamarie Maturine had 13 points and eight rebounds. Shelby Medovich had 10 points. Carley Ryan had four assists.
Wells is 6-14 on the year with a 5-6 record in the North Eastern Athletic Conference. Lancaster Bible College is 14-8 overall and 12-1 in the NEAC.
The Express continues a five-game homestand on Sunday, Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. against Wilson College.
