The Wells College women's basketball team lost 69-55 at Penn State Berks on Sunday, Jan. 13. Shelby Medovich scored 23 points and Miranda Mingen had 13 points for the Express.
Wells trailed 14-10 after the opening quarter but pulled back within two at halftime. Penn State Berks led 26-24 at the break. In the second half, Penn State Berks outscored Wells 43-31 and went on to the win.
Medovich made three 3-pointers among her 23 total points and she added eight rebounds, one block, and three assists. Mingen filled up the stat sheet with a season-best 13 points with eight rebounds and six assists.
Maritza Scharoun led Wells with 10 rebounds and Carley Ryan had three steals for Wells.
Wells will play Wednesday at SUNY Poly at 5 p.m.
