Chittenango, NY- The Wells College women's lacrosse team (1-2) lost 16-11 to Morrisville State College (2-1) in non-conference action Sunday afternoon in Chittenango. Emily Lotkowictz (Skaneateles, NY) led the Express with eight goals and an assist while Charlotte Fielding (Queensbury, NY) added two goals and Gabriella Decker (Encinitas, CA) finished with one goal.
The Mustangs held a 13-8 lead at the half while out shooting the Express 27-18. Both the Express and the Mustangs finished with 32 groundballs a piece. Lotkowictz led the way with eight groundballs while Stefanie Miller (Barton, NY) finished with six.
Liz Barclay (Laporte, PA) finished with five saves in the loss to the Mustangs.
Wells returns to action on Wednesday, March 25, at 4:00 pm against non-conference opponent Alfred University in Aurora.
