MILLER LEADS WELLS OVER LANCASTER

Aurora, NY- Stefanie Miller (Cazenovia, NY) scored five goals and Kirsten Musciano (Boonton TWP, NJ) added three goals of her own as the Wells College women's lacrosse team went on to defeat Lancaster Bible College 13-5 Saturday afternoon in Aurora. Liz Barclay (Laporte, PA) earned the win in net finishing with eight saves.

Down 2-0 in the first half, Miller would score on a free possession shot while Gabriella Decker (Encinitas, CA) would score three-minutes later on her own free possession shot, to tie the game at 2-2. Miller would add two more unassisted goals giving Wells a 4-3 lead headed into halftime.

The Express would explode for nine goals in the second half while limiting Lancaster to just 8 shots and two goals. Musciano led the Express in the second half, scoring all three of her goals in the half. Charlotte Fielding (Queensbury, NY) and Ariella Taft (Cazenovia, NY) each finished with two goals, all in the second half.  

Miller led the Express with ten groundballs while Musciano finished with four groundballs and 8-20 on the face-off.

As a team the Express held the advantage in shots (43-17), groundballs (33-28), and clears (11-7).

With the win Wells improves to 2-5 (0-1 NEAC) while Lancaster Bible falls to 2-9 on the season.

The Express will return to action on Saturday, April 11th when they travel Poultney, VT to take on Green Mountain College at 11:00 am.
