5 Named to Women's Lacrosse NEAC All-Conference Team

GANSEVOORT, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) has announced its 2012 NAC West Division* All-Conference selections, with first, second and third team honors being awarded by position to a total of 34 student-athletes, as selected by the conference coaches.

The Wells College women's lacrosse team has five players named to the NEAC Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Teams.  That is fifty-percent of the Wells College Women's Lacrosse Team. 

Junior attacker Sarah Allen (Clay, NY) was named All-Conference First Team for Attack.  Sarah finished the season with 66 points, 55 goals and 11 assists.  Sarah also finished with 16 ground balls and 22 draw controls.  Sarah is Wells College leading scorer and first for points.  Sarah also passed her 100th goal this season.

Junior midfielder Madeline Bass (Lemon Grove, CA) was named All-Conference First Team for Midfield.  Madeline finished the season with 47 points, 32 goals and 15 assists.  Madeline also had an outstanding 37 ground balls, 36 draw controls, and 12 caused turnovers.

Junior defensive player Shelby Moszkowicz (Rochester, NY) was named All-Conference First Team for Defense.  Shelby finished the season with 2 points, 1 goal and 1 assist.  Shelby had an impressive 34 ground ball, and 15 draw controls.  Shelby also had 15 caused turnovers.

Sophomore attacker Courtney Grosser (Rochester, NY) was named All-Conference Second Team for Attack.  Courtney had 65 points one away from being tied for first in points on the season.  Courtney had 46 goals and 19 assists.  Courtney also helped the Express with 20 ground balls and 15 draw controls. 

Sophomore defender Brittany White (Lewiston, NY) was names All-Conference Third Team for Defense.  Brittany finished with 18 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers. Brittany came in big for the Express in man down situations with an understaffed Wells College Women's Lacrosse Team. 

The Wells College Women's Lacrosse team will be returning all of their 2012 players for the 2013 season.  They have a great recruiting class coming in to help build the team and program for the 2013 season.  We look forward to the 2013 season.
