Women's Lacrosse Announces New Assistant Coach

The Wells College women's lacrosse team has announced that Emily Peters will join the coaching staff for the 2017 season as assistant coach to head coach Missy Jaworski.

Peters brings extensive experience in lacrosse as a four-year player at Ithaca College, where she served as a team captain in her senior year in 2015. Over 52 games in her collegiate career she recorded 29 goals and eight assists.

She was named to the Empire 8 Presidents' List twice for her academic achievement, and earned a degree in integrated marketing communications.

Prior to her collegiate career, Peters was a part of three Maryland state championships (2008, 2010, 2011) as a varsity player at Winters Mill High School in Westminster, Md.

Peters was recently hired at Wells College as Coordinator of Advancement Communications where she assists communication goals in generating relationships with Wells College alumnae and alumni.

In addition to her work at Wells College, Peters is a coach with the Ithaca Youth Bureau girls lacrosse program.
