The Wells College women's lacrosse team fell by a 17-2 score in non-conference action at SUNY Canton on Sunday, April 2. SUNY Canton outscored Wells 9-0 in the second half.
In the first half, Wells goals were scored by Renee Bartosz and Mackenzie Maloney. Julia Smith assisted on both goals. Maloney led Wells with six ground balls and three caused turnovers.
Wells is 1-4 on the season and SUNY Canton is 3-5.
The Express plays its first home game of the season Wednesday at 4 p.m. at the Wells Turf Field against Elmira College.
