Aurora, New York – The Wells College women's soccer team could not find an open shot all game leading to a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Hilbert College Friday at Wells. Goalie Claire Petersen (Derby, NY) led the Express with nine saves. The lone goal was scored by Hilbert forward Tricia Knight at the 39:51 mark of the first half.
With the loss Wells falls to 5-7-1 while Hilbert improves to 4-9-0
Wells finished with three shots, one corner kick, four fouls and one offside. Hilbert finished with 17 shots, seven corners, four fouls, and four offside.
The Express will next play NEAC rival Wilson College on Saturday, October 18, at 2:00 pm at Wells.
