EXPRESS COME UP EMPTY AGAINST WILDCATS

Aurora, NY – The Wells College women's soccer team was unable to solve the SUNY IT defense as the Express went on to lose 2-0 in North Eastern Athletic Conference play Saturday afternoon at Wells. The Wildcats would score first as a corner kick by Zinter would deflect off an Express defender into the goal for a 1-0 lead at 40:43 of the first half. SUNY IT would add an insurance goal late in the second half as Jane Burroughs would be left open in the box and float a shot over the outstretched hand of Duh for the 2-0 lead with 19-minutes remaining.

The Wildcats controlled much of the game holding a 17-4 advantage in shots and a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks.

The Express will next play NEAC opponent SUNY Cobleskill on Thursday, October 15 at 2:30 pm at Cobleskill.
