(Morrisville, N.Y.)─ Rebecca Furman scored at 62:07, snapping a scoreless tie and sending the Wells College Express to a 1-0 victory over Morrisville State College in North Eastern Athletic Conference women's soccer action Saturday in Morrisville. Megan Lawrence finished with four saves in goal for the Express, while Mustangs goalie Sara Boudah finished with seven saves. With the win the Express improve to 2-8-1, 2-3 in NEAC play, while the Mustangs fall to 1-8 and remain winless in the conference at 0-5.
The Express controlled the majority of the game holding the advantage in shots 12-10 and corner kicks 5-2.
The Express return to action next on Saturday, October 9 against NEAC opponent SUNYIT at 12:00 p.m. in Utica.
