Women's Soccer Defeated By Penn St.-Berks

READING, Pa. – The Wells College women's soccer team was defeated by the Nittany Lions from Penn St.-Berks by a 14-1 score on Saturday. Wells falls to 1-7 on the year (0-2 NEAC) while the Nittany Lions move to 4-0-2 on the season (2-0 NEAC).

Penn St.-Berks opened up a 14-0 lead through the game's first 74 minutes before junior Amber Welsh (Cortland, N.Y.) got Wells on the board following a freshman Jordan Lidell (Pitcher, N.Y.) assist. Lidell secured her first collegiate point on the play.

Wells backstop Quinn Doubet (Virgil, N.Y.) made 14 saves on 28 total shots faced. The tandem of Nittany Lions goalkeepers allowed one goal on the lone shot faced in the contest.

The Express return to action Wednesday, Sept. 23 as they battle Hilbert at 4:45 p.m. on the road.
