The Wells College women's soccer team began conference play with a 4-1 loss at Cazenovia College on Saturday, Sept. 8. Cazenovia remains undefeated on the season with a 4-0 overall record and 1-0 record in the North Eastern Athletic Conference. Wells is 1-2-0 overall and 0-1-0 in the NEAC.
Wells opened the scoring in the 24th minute of the match with an unassisted goal by Mackenzie Maloney. It was her second goal of the season. Cazenovia scored twice before halftime and added two second-half goals.
Kayleigh Hurley had 16 saves for the Express.
Wells returns home for a non-conference match Wednesday, Sept. 12 against Elmira College.
