Women's Soccer Defeated At Cedar Crest

The Wells College women's soccer team traveled to Allentown, Pa. and fell by a 5-1 score at Cedar Crest College on Sunday, Sept. 16.

Cedar Crest scored twice in the first half and led 2-0 at halftime. The Falcons added three more second-half goals before Wells got on the scoreboard.

The Express was awarded a penalty kick, and Erin Persons stepped to the spot and scored in the 77th minute. It was the first goal of the year for Persons.

Goalkeeper Alexis Sterio made nine saves.

Wells returns to North Eastern Athletic Conference play with a home game Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 5 p.m. against Keuka College.
