The Wells College women's soccer team went on the road and lost by a 4-0 score at Medaille College on Saturday, Sept. 7. Medaille scored three goals in the final 24 minutes to pull away for the victory.
The Express withstood an onslaught by Medaille as the Mavericks attempted 37 shots at goal, with 23 shots on target. Wells goalkeeper Jennifer McCumber made 19 saves, a career-high.
Wells had five shots at goal and Kyra Graham, Callia Ortega, and Hayley Martin forced saves from the Medaille goalkeeper. Wells is back in action on Sunday, Sept. 8 with a 1 p.m. home game against Cedar Crest College.
