Juli Vibbard '12
is entering her first year with the Wells College women's soccer
team in 2013. A 2012 graduate of Wells with a bachelor's degree in
Environmental Science with a concentration in Biology, Vibbard was
a four-year member of both the women's soccer team and the softball
squad for the Express.
Serving as a two-year captain in women's soccer, Vibbard holds the
all-time program lead in games played (72) for Wells and tallied
seven goals and six assists for 20 points (7-6=20). In 2009,
Vibbard was selected as the team's Rookie of the Year and was named
Most Valuable Player in 2011.
Named a two-year captain for softball as well, Vibbard is the
program's all-time leader in at-bats (277) and fielding assists
(177) while starting 102 games for Wells, ranking second all-time
in the latter category. Her 69 career hits rank her seventh
all-time while her 31 walks place her third in program history. In
2012, Vibbard earned the Lesley Wead Zabriskie Express Award,
issued annually to a member of each intercollegiate sports team who
embodies the true ideals of team commitment, leadership,
dedication, discipline and sportsmanship.
Vibbard was an active member of the Wells campus as a
student-athlete, serving as the Vice Chair of the Student-Athlete
Advisory Committee from 2010 to 2012 after serving as her team's
representative from 2009 to 2010. She also earned Dean's List
honors during her Wells tenure and was also a student worker within
the Department of Athletics as an undergraduate.
Alongside her coaching responsibilities for Head Coach
Mara Primmer, Vibbard serves as an RTI Math
Instructor at Edmeston Central School in Edmeston, N.Y. She also
lends her expertise to the Headwaters Soccer Camp in Oneonta, N.Y.
where she served as an instructor to campers aged seven to 17. At
the Headwaters Soccer Camp, Vibbard assisted Camp Coordinator
Tracey Ranieri, the current Athletic Director at
Oneonta St. and the former Head Coach of women's soccer at
Wells.
She resides in Burlington Flats, N.Y.
