WOMEN'S SWIMMING FINISHES FOURTH AT HARTWICK RELAYS

AURORA, N.Y. - The Wells College women's swimming team placed fourth out of four teams at the Hartwick College Relays held this afternoon at Hartwick College in Oneonta, N.Y. The Express finished with 52 total points. Hartwick College took the top overall spot with 144 points, besting The College of Saint Rose (124 pts), and Cazenovia College (66 pts).

The Express placed third in several events including the 300 Yard Backstroke Relay. The relay team of Hallie Hanson (Ashville, N.Y.), Idolyn Villiotti (Amherst, N.H.), and Sarah Sherboneau (Auburn, N.Y.) combined to finish the relay in 3:54.25. The 300 Yard Backstroke Relay team of Erika Bareiss (Clinton, N.Y.), Olivia Touron (Cato, N.Y), and Molly Heslin (Coxsackie, N.Y.) placed third with a time of 4:22.13.

In the more traditional 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, the Express placed third with a time of 2:01.76. Villiotti led the relay team of Britta Kilbourn (Scotia, N.Y.), Hanson, and Bareiss with a 29.01 split.

In the 200 Yard Medley Relay, Hanson, Bareiss, Villiotti, and Kilbourn led the Express to a third place finish with a time of 2:15.49. Kilbourn led the relay team with a 29.69 split.

Rounding out the highlights for the Express was the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Villiotti, Touron, Kilbourn, and Bareiss. The relay team placed third with a time of 4:30.81.

The Express return to action on Oct. 29 against Bard College at Simmons Rock at 1 p.m. in Great Barrington, Mass.
